Providing a secure method to transport and store sensitive data, Cigent offers a portfolio of external encrypted storage devices to meet your security requirements. All devices are high performance with storage capacity of 2 or 4TB.

FIPS 140-2 Certified. Key features include full disk hardware encryption with PBA, enterprise management, hidden partitions, cloning and wipe prevention, verified data erasure, and command logs.

External Encrypted Storage FIPS SSD Charlie.

Key features include full disk hardware encryption with PBA, enterprise management, hidden partitions, cloning and wipe prevention, crypto and full block erasure, command logs, and AI secured storage.

External Encrypted Storage FIPS SSD Delta.

Providing the most secure data storage available. Key features include full drive hardware encryption with PBA, enterprise management, hidden partitions, cloning and wipe prevention, command logs, AI secured storage, verified data erasure, and advanced physical protection. Advanced physical protection ensures integrity of device. Features include capacitors able to maintain power for two weeks, accelerometers detecting and recording any movement, and disconnect detection circuit that will automatically execute crypto and block wipes following unauthorized reconnect.

SD and MicroSD.

Cigent provides the only hardware-encrypted SD and MicroSD cards. Up to four hidden partitions can be generated, providing secure enclaves for the storage of sensitive data on these devices. Data in these enclaves cannot be wiped or cloned. Upon mission completion or in an emergency, data can be erased using crypto and block erasure. Additionally, they meet industrial temperature requirements (-40 to 85 C).

External Media Solution Capabilities

Encryption and PBA provide foundational data security, but evolving sophisticated adversaries present additional risk. Cigent provides portfolio of cyber security features to mitigate risk.
Administration
Beyond the encryption of data, organizations also are required to address other requirements including recovering and destroying data on returned systems, incident response, and policy reporting. For key management, compliance reporting, policy setting, and deployment automation, Cigent provides an enterprise management console that can be deployed in the cloud or on premises and a Command Line Interface (CLI) tool that runs in Linux and Windows.
Hidden Partitions
All Cigent Secure Storage provides the option to create hidden partition generating enclaves to store sensitive data preventing an adversary from discovering even the existence of the data. The hidden partitions are unreadable at the sector level even after logging onto the device until unlocked using step-up authentication.
Inaccessible Keys
Cigent employs proven methodology and technology for the creation and storage of keys that renders all known compromises approaches obsolete. Keys are created using maximum characters allowed, deconstructed and distributed throughout drives preventing even sophisticated adversaries from compromise.
Cloning and Wiping Prevention
All Cigent Secure Storage protect against illicit wiping and cloning. Data at rest protection is protected with full drive hardware encryption that locks all ranges. Cigent is unique in also preventing cloning when the device is in use through its ability to create hidden partitions. The hidden partitions also lock all ranges preventing wiping and cloning. These partitions also provide hidden environments to store sensitive data preventing an adversary from discovering even the existence of the data.
Data Erasure
Provide the ability to locally or remotely execute a cleanse that erases all data via crypto and block erasure. Cigent also provides patented capability to analyze each block to ensure all data has been permanently erased.

Why is it important to protect data on remote External Media?

External media devices are a convenient and efficient tool for the storage and conveyance of data. While small in size, External Media can store significant amounts of data creating significant risk of loss or theft. To ensure the integrity of data, the devices need to support full drive hardware encryption.

How do Cigent drives differ from Apricorn drives?

Both Cigent and Arpricorn drives provide full drive hardware drive encryption. The key difference is the authentication process. Whereas Apricorn uses mechanical keys, Cigent approach is software for its authentication. The software approach has two advantages - first, the physical keys are indicators that the drive has data worth encrypting; the second is the process of translating the physical authentication to the encryption provides an opportunity for a man-in-the-middle attack.

What types and sizes of drives does Cigent Offer?

Cigent offers a portfolio of external media. These include flash drives up to 64 GB, external storage devices up 4 TB, SD and micro SD 64 GB. All drives utilize full drive hardware encryption.

How does full drive encryption work on SD and MicroSD cards?

Cigent offers the only hardware encrypted SD and MicroSD cards. Utilizing Cigent software user create up to four hidden partitions. Data within these hidden partitions is encrypted, locked, and unreadable at the sector level. Authenticating to access the drives is with the same software that works on Windows and Linux.

What is cloning and wiping?

Cloning and wiping are common attacks where an adversary will copy or “clone” a drive and/ or erase or “wipe” a drive. Clone and wipe attacks can take place when a device is at rest or in use. When a device is in use an adversary with physical access can execute an attack in only a few seconds. All external media includes the capability to create hidden partitions. Cigent prevents cloning and wiping by locking all data ranges. Utilizing hidden partitions data remains protected even when a device is unlocked.
